Have you ever wanted to make your own Piñatas, but didn't know where to start? - wonder no more! Join us for this Piñata Making Workshop with the uber talented Piñata artist Maria Valdez, from Piñata Ireland. This once off workshop is part of our Day of the Dead at Picado Series, a micro festival celebrating this colourful Mexican holiday.

In this adult-focused, hands on class, Maria will show you how to craft your own piñata using authentic Mexican techniques, including shaping and forming tips, paper cutting techniques and paper flower making, while we share the stories behind this colourful Mexican craft in a relaxed and sociable atmosphere.  Add a splash of colour to your evening – and your next celebration – with a workshop that's fun and memorable.

In this workshop, you'll decorate your own sugar skull piñata 'a la frida' and learn a bit about the craft. We'll have some snacks and a complimentary soft drink. - This is a 2.5 hour workshop.

*THIS WORKSHOP IS NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN

We keep our classes small and reasonably priced, and while we know life happens, we do have a cancellation policy. We will always try to help wherever possible, but please take a moment to familiarise yourself with our cancellation terms below.

You'll get a full refund if you cancel at least three weeks before the class. If you cancel between two and three weeks before the class, you'll be entitled to a 50% refund of the class fee. If you cancel within one week of the class, we have sadly already planned and bought all the ingredients with your attendance in mind, so no refund will be provided.

However, if you cancel late, we’ll do our best to resell your seat. If we manage to fill it, we’ll happily refund your ticket. You’re also welcome to transfer your seat to someone else—just let us know in advance so we can accommodate any dietary restrictions!

Please note that not showing up to a class, for any reason, does not entitle you to a refund or a deferral to another class. We are unable to offer alternative dates for missed classes.

If your class was booked as a gift, the same terms and conditions apply.

If you need to defer your booking to a later date, it must be done within 12 months of your original class date. If the new class has a higher price, you’ll just need to cover the difference.

Picado Mexican Kitchen handles wheat/gluten, sesame seeds, and nuts on a regular basis, so bear that in mind when booking.
