Barritas are one of those snacks that every Mexican loves. It's not a biscuit or a pastry, but something in between. They're soft, buttery and really delicious! Packed in pairs, and of two flavours, strawberry or pineapple, they've been around for ages in Mexico. My uncle worked in the Bimbo Bread Factory, which is the equivalent to Brennan's bread in Mexico (I kid you not with the name). The Bimbo factory produces a ton of sliced pan (pan bimbo), breads, sweet pastries, cookies, etc and my uncle used to get bags of mixed bimbo products for free, which made us soooo jealous growing up. These barritas are strawberry flavour and are perfect for a tea break treat with a friend.
