Sweet Chilli Jam


This Sweet Chilli Jam made by The Purple Pantry with bell pepper and red chilies is an absolute delight. Normally I am not fond of bell peppers, but Adam, the young, creative head in the Purple Pantry's kitchen has found a way to make me eat them! 

The sauce has the right balance of sweetness and heat, with a gorgeous tang of ginger and lemon in it. I adore it with fish and in chicken stirfry, also amazing with chips and as an alternative to chutney in sandwiches and cheese plates. 

Made in Ireland in small batches and with the best of love and respect for its ingredients, this sauce has a lusciously thick consistency and with plenty of texture thanks to its finely cut chili bits.
